The Illinois MBSR/MBCT Consortium was founded in 2009 with the intention of forming a community with those who are actively involved and have trained in the work of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) through the Center for Mindfulness at University of Massachussetts (CFM) , University of California San Diego Center for Mindfulness (UCSD), or an affiliate of MBSR-MBCT partner programs. We are a community that practices and works together, collaborating towards further dissemination of the work of Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.

Members of the Consortium are individuals who teach MBSR/MBCT, are doing Mindfulness/MBSR Research and/or using MBSR approaches in their work and have formally trained through the CFM, UCSD or an affiliate of MBSR-MBCT partner programs. Membership is offered to those who wish to have a dedicated relationship to a working community of Mindfulness Practitioners. If you are interested in being considered for membership in the Consortium, please send an email to our Membership Chair to receive an application. Applications are reviewed in September and February and qualified applicants are invited to join in October and March.

The Illinois Mindfulness Consortium disclaims any and all liability incurred by any party using the resources of the Consortium, including evaluating and selecting the teachers included in the Consortium. Please discuss your specific needs with a potential teacher to determine whether he or she has the skills to adequately support your learning.
